3 states, 1 very cool but long day

We started our Hampton Inn hotel in Downtown Boise - staff was nice, masks were required for everyone, and they also did not allow people in unless they were guests.

We headed to the Anne Frank Memorial which was quite serene and thought provoking. I included some pictures below.

Finally, I got to go to Boise Fry Company. They were closed when we got to Boise yesterday so we went as soon as they opened. We ordered purple potato po'balls, gold shoe string fries, and red homestyle fries. They were all very good, but the po'balls were the best.

We took a shortcut to Bozeman (shorter distance, slightly longer time). On the way, we saw some beautiful and unexpected scenery - including the Crater of the Moon, a dried up lava flow.

Next, we stopped in Idaho Falls and the falls were quite pretty although they were man-made. They city is hydroelectrically powered! On the way to the falls, we grabbed some fast food (I wanted to try Carl's Jr. Vegetarian Western Burger). We found a secluded bench to eat our lunch and a huge family came walking by us for no apparent reason - no more than a foot away! I jumped out of my seat! I couldn't believe people are so oblivious to the 6 foot rule!

On the way to Bozeman, we realized that we pass the western entrance to Yellowstone. We decided to take a scenic route through Yellowstone to get to Bozeman. We saw some awesome geysers and mud pits, but we didn't finish our last stop until after 9pm. There was still a little light out but not for long. We arrived at our hotel very tired at 11:30pm. But what a day!

Tomorrow, we are going to visit as much of Yellowstone as we can - including a stop at Old Faithful. We hope to have lunch in Jackson Hole, but we will see! We plan to end our day in Cody, WY.
