Cold. Wet. Windy. Other than that, it was a great day! We started out having breakfast at our hotel and tried Icelandic yogurt for the first time which was quite good! First stop: Sejalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls. Amazing! One waterfall was in cave. We were able to walk behind Sejalandsfoss (see all waterfall pics below). Near Vik, we visited the black sand beach and went up a hill for some different views. I don't know if I've ever been that cold - the wind must have been 40mph and we were drenched at 46 degrees. We grabbed a sandwich and some snacks at KR supermarket (good for a bathroom stop too) and headed to Fjadrargljufur canyon which was breathtaking. Literally - we walked out onto a see-thru platform over the canyon! We got to end our cold and rainy day a little earlier than the past few days. We are staying at Hotel Loki and got an upgrade upon arrival! Happy hour was good and then we went to Systrakaffi for dinner. The mushroom pasta was really incredible! Enjoying being dry and warm in the hotel. Will be heading to Hofn in the morning!
