Another amazing day in Iceland! After eating breakfast at our B&B, which was pretty good we left for Krafla volcano. We saw an amazing lake and hiked almost to the main crater, but we decided being able to see it from afar was good enough! Next, we went to Dettifoss, Europe's most powerful waterfall. And it sure was! After just a 10 minute hike, we saw one of the most amazing waterfalls I've ever seen - and we could get so close that we could touch it (see below!). After that, we drove to Asbyrgi, a canyon, and took a short hike. After that, we thought we might do some whale watching in Husavik, but no boats were leaving for about two hours. We have already done a fair bit of whale watching on other trips, so we decided to see if we could find some with our binoculars. As we were scoping out a good spot for whale watching, we came across GeoSea - a natural hot spring bath. We planned on going to one near our hotel, but this one actually had better reviews and was a bit cheaper. It was so warm and refreshing after running around all day. We ate dinner at Salka nearby and it was good - pretty standard American fair, but we were starving by then! Tomorrow, we head west to Blonduos!

Reviews:

Dettifoss (Ian's favorite spot so far) 👏
